Senior Analyst and Consultant

Nic is a senior analyst and consultant with a decade in the market research industry. He has spent the majority of his life in the outdoor playground of Utah, and lives south of Salt Lake City, near the trails below Mount Timpanogos. 

With a degree in accounting and a degree in marketing, a career in market research began at Qualtrics, merging an understanding of client research needs with technological possibilities to reach the best solutions. Nic has always been part of or adjacent to the panel sample business, bringing a methodical approach to aligning research design with business questions. For most of his career he has had his hands on the data, advising and storytelling for the likes of growing consumer goods brands, to Hagerty car insurance, to tech giants like Meta and Google. He has learned there is a different dance and flavor to each client, but all are connected at the heart by good people looking for informed next steps in their respective businesses.

Nic is a planner, a measure twice and cut once kind of guy. He is a storyteller. He finds the most fulfillment in planning for and collecting data in line with what matters most to his client. He also enjoys following the data where it leads; after all, it’s all a matter of perspective. At Strop Insights Nic leads end to end project fulfillment and management, including survey design, programming, and output reporting/storytelling. Projects often include attitudes and usage, competitive brand and benchmarking, segmentation, concept and product testing studies, and more.

Physical movement is Nic’s passion, and he prioritizes fitness and nutrition. He is passionate about speed and flow—from stick shift cars, to road bikes, to surfing. He is a portrait artist, a writer, and a poet.
